What to expect: Landscape of mountains, waterfalls & Rainforest, Colorful Spanish buildings & Nightlife capital of the Caribbean – This place truly has a lot to offer.
Spend a week here and you will get a taste of everything. We chose this amazing place for our honeymoon and enjoyed every bit of it. 🙂
We stayed at the San Juan Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino. This resort had very nice suites with ocean views, pool & a casino on site and thus was an excellent choice to relax and rewind.
Highlights..
Bioluminescent Bay Tours
Waterfalls & Natural Pools
Old town charm
El Yunque National forest
Casino’s & Nightlife
Day 1– Land to San Juan and check in. Took a late flight so we just headed towards our resort. We decided to take a bus from airport and skipped the car rental. Since most of the tours does provide hotel pick up, it was easy to manage. You can also rent a car instead and have the freedom to drive around.
Day 2– Beach day – we decided to simply relax and spend our time at the private beach

Day 3– Old San Juan & National historical Monument – Castillo San Felipe Del Morro & Old town
We took a cab to the historical monument and took a tour around it. Castillo San Felipe del Morro, also known as El Morro, is a citadel built between 16th and 18th centuries in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In 1983, the citadel was declared a World Heritage Site by the United Nations in conjunction with the San Juan National Historic Site. Over two million visitors a year explore the castillo, making it one of Puerto Rico’s leading tourist attractions.
After taking the tour we spent the rest of the day exploring the old town. The town provides a free trolley which is the best way to stroll around this beautiful town and make best use of your time. This site would be give all information on how to use the trolley -> https://sanjuanpuertorico.com/trolley-old-san-juan/

Day 4– Relax on the Resort
Day 5– El Yunque National forest tour
After a good relax day we took a half day tour to the El Yunque national forest. The cost was around .. This tour gave us enough time to explore the scenic view from the top as well as enjoy the waterfalls on the way.

Day 6- We flew back to our destination.
We had kept this trip a very relaxed one but Puerto rico has a lot to offer and we strongly recommend the below:
-Bioluminescent Bay: The best place for this is Vieques
-Flamenco Beach (Culebra)
-Nightlife @San Juan
